Two troops, one committee, youth-led Scouting in Grapevine for boys and girls. The Scouts plan the year. Adults keep it safe. Everybody eats well in the woods.

One committee, two troops, two sets of elected leaders.

700B and 700G camp on their own schedules and elect their own Scouts to run them. Same parents, same standards.

What we're built on

Outdoor adventure, leadership, teamwork, service.

Outdoor adventure

A campout every month plus a summer high-adventure trip. Canoeing, backpacking, caving, climbing, sailing, shooting sports, rocketry.

Leadership

Scouts elect a Senior Patrol Leader and Patrol Leaders, then actually run the meetings. Fourteen other jobs are there for the taking.

Teamwork

Patrols of six to eight cook, pack, navigate and clean up together. Dinner on Saturday night depends on all of them.

Service

Every year the troop commits to projects for our chartered organization, Grapevine, and Scouting. Do a Good Turn Daily is the slogan; it's also the schedule.

Last year the Scouts picked these.

At the annual planning meeting, the troop votes on where it's going. Adults drive and cook nothing.

Come by on a Monday night. Bring your Scout.

No commitment and nothing to fill out. You'll meet the leaders and other parents, your Scout will end up in a game, and you can ask us anything about the year ahead.
